Zhadra is a Junior Associate in Unicase's Tax practice. Working closely with the firm's corporate team, she assists on legal due diligence, corporate structuring and regulatory matters involving entities established in Kazakhstan and the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). Her work includes reviewing commercial arrangements, identifying tax and regulatory considerations, and helping to develop compliant and practical structures.
As a member of Unicase’s Tax team
- Supported the team in advising domestic and international clients on a range of tax matters, including the tax-efficient structuring of transactions and analysis of tax implications.
- Assisted the team in advising a foreign investor on the potential acquisition of a Kazakhstan company holding a licence for drilling and blasting operations, including legal due diligence, review of the corporate structure and licensing compliance, assessment of regulatory permitting requirements, and preparation of a due diligence report identifying key legal risks.
- Assisted the team in advising a Kazakhstan mining and construction contractor on the reinstatement of its construction licence for specialised mining, tunnelling, drilling, blasting and structural works, covering regulatory compliance and e-Licensing procedures.
- Supported the team on multiple corporate structuring projects for TotalEnergies, assisting with the preparation of corporate documents, including draft minutes and board and shareholder resolutions, and coordinating the execution and formalisation of related documentation.
- Assisted the team in preparing monthly legislative reviews for multinational corporate clients in the engineering and telecommunications sectors, monitoring developments in Kazakhstan legislation and delivering concise, business-focused analysis of key regulatory changes and their practical impact on clients’ operations.
