Oil and Gas Regulation


The oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan represents one of the principal components of the national economy. Kazakhstan’s domestic hydrocarbon reserves amount to around 3.9 trillion cubic metres of gas, which places Kazakhstan 14th in worldwide reserves and 4th in the CIS region. The total volume of gas production in July 2014 amounted to 3,374 million cubic metres, including 1,656 million cubic metres of natural gas.
